At Powerful Voices, we invest in the creative brilliance of girls and gender expansive youth of color because they are the experts on their own lives and the architects of the world we will one day live in. Since 1995, we've served over 6,000 young people through culturally responsive, trauma informed, social justice programs that aim to develop young people most impacted by racism and patriarchy into informed and courageous leaders while building a network of solidarity rooted in healing justice and a liberatory ethos.
That is Powerful Voices' mission – to create brave spaces with girls and gender expansive youth of color to take charge of their own power as leaders, igniting their abilities to confidently express themselves, build community, and act against injustices affecting their lives.
Ways you can support a Powerful Voices youth leader today:
- $1,600 = Stipend for one 3-month internship
- $200 = Transportation support for one week of program
